Park Slope Row House
This 16'-wide house was a crush of tiny rooms and tinier halls. We opened the parlor floor into a single living/dining/kitchen space, zoning the different functions with custom cabinetry and preserving the parquet floor as a map of the old layout. The main bathroom is segmented for multiple users and lit by a new skylight. The garden-floor playroom serves double duty: one sliding tack-board wall hides the laundry; another sliding chalkboard wall divides office and guest room.
