Central Park West Apartment

This classic seven was well proportioned but dilapidated: exposed exhaust ducts, windows blocked up with air conditioners, and cracked and peeling finishes. By tucking the ducts and equipment out of sight, we restored the apartment’s dignity. A curtain of metal beads integrates the living-room bookshelves with the new stone and plaster fireplace wall. In the kitchen and pantry, stainless steel and etched glass contrast with natural linoleum.
