Brooklyn Loft
The existing kitchen was a developer's substandard hole in the wall, with no relationship to the high-ceiling spaces beyond. The new kitchen is not only several feet taller, but its long cabinets now stretch into the living room, knitting the two together while adding precious counter space. A massive structural column, once buried behind partitions, now proudly defines the entry - its roughness a lively contrast to the sleek details and finishes of the carefully designed cabinetry.
